Abstract :
Analysis of the output of a coherent radar observing a model target rotated about two axes yields a 2-dimensional image of the target in the cross-range plane. A simple visualisation of the process is presented, and the basic relationships governing the performance are derived. It is shown that a variety of nonimaging functions may also be provided for use in special situations.
