Abstract
The temperature distribution with respect to heat generation on Nb sheet in the rotating-spot superconducting fluxpump is analyzed by using the heat transfer equations. The generated heat was conducted within the region of 30% distance from the center of the normal spot, but most of the heat was transferred to liquid helium (LHe). The increase of the rotating speed makes maximum temperature larger than that of the applied field. Therefore, we can conclude that the velocity of the normal spot is the main designing factor of the superconducting fluxpump.
