Abstract :
The application of a dedicated microprocessor to suboptimal excitation control of an a.c. turbogenerator is considered with a minicomputer supervising the complete control strategy of one or more such microprocessor-control schemes in a practical system. Theoretical studies previously reported are confirmed experimentally on a small, but realistically scaled, laboratory-model power system.
