  • Abstract
    A simple analytical framework is presented for the performance analysis of adaptive coded modulation (ACM) over Rician shadowed fading channels. Obtained results find applicability in the prediction of the average spectral efficiency and the average bit error rate achievable by practical ACM schemes in satellite communications systems.
