Abstract :
A magnetically tunable ferrite-loaded substrate integrated waveguide (SIW) cavity resonator is presented and demonstrated. X-band cavity resonator is operated in the dominant mode and the ferrite slabs are loaded onto the side walls of the cavity where the value of magnetic field is highest. Measured results for single and double ferrite-loaded SIW cavity resonators are presented. Frequency tuning range of more than 6% and 10% for single and double ferrite slabs are obtained. Unloaded Q -factor of more than 200 is achieved.
