Abstract :
This paper provides an analysis of the short-term light flicker indicator measuring inaccuracy. Due to the complexity of a flickermeter´s signal path, a full analysis is practically impossible. With the use of a standard functional diagram and flickermeter´s model equations, it has been possible to describe the most important reasons behind the measurement inaccuracy: reference value restoration inaccuracy, the discrepancy between the acquired filters´ amplitude responses, and standard filter characteristics, the attenuation of the maximum signal values transmitted through internal filters cascade, and some difficulties with flicker-level statistical evaluation. With the help of the amplitude response, suggestions on sample rate selection for internal signals have been given.
