Technology and Society and Citations: People are Paying Attention [Editorial]

IEEE´s home office, like many corporate entities, loves to collect data. I recently asked for a tiny slice of that data that has to do with how many times, according to Thomson Reuters, articles in IEEE Technology and Society Magazine have been cited in scholarly literature. IEEE´s database on that question goes back to 2002, and the data for nine years are shown in Fig. 1.
