            Abstract : 
A low-complexity reversible integer Karhunen-Loe??ve transform (low-RKLT) is proposed for three-dimensional (3D) medical image compression. Low-RKLT is used for exploiting the correlation existing among neighbouring slices followed by integer wavelet transform in the spatial domain. Simulation results show that low-RKLT provides comparable lossless compression performance and obviously better lossy compression performance compared with integer wavelet transform.
