An introduction to ATM

Networks have become a common feature in the office environment, allowing access to e-mail and the Internet, linking computers together and allowing several computers to access one printer. As more people want to be linked electronically, how are network technologies going to cope with the increased demand? This article looks at asynchronous transfer mode as one possible solution to this problem.
