Abstract :
An investigation of the in-plane uniaxial anisotropy Ku, performed on amorphous Co95-xZr5Dyx thin films, is reported. We have studied the effect of the deposition temperature T d on Ku for the concentration range 4⩽x⩽30. The structural study allows us to explain the maximum value of Ku obtained for x~25. The correlation of the structural and magnetic properties permits us to propose a model for the opposite variations of Ku and Kp (perpendicular anisotropy) versus Td
