Abstract :
The extraordinary optical transmission through a perforated TbFeCo thin film having a perpendicular magnetic anisotropy is reported. The TbFeCo thin film was deposited onto a free standing SiN sub-wavelength hole array arranged in a hexagonal lattice. The optical transmission measurement was carried out with the incident visible light in the normal direction and an external magnetic field was applied perpendicular to the film plane. It is found that the applied magnetic field not only reduces the extraordinary transmission intensity but also induces a red shift of the transmission peak.
