Abstract :
In order to develop high energy Nd-Fe-B magnets, extensive studies of processing technologies have been done. With a new casting technology for Nd-Fe-B alloys, improvement of the preparation of fine powders having a sharp distribution of particle size, and adoption of a special CIP process, we have succeeded in obtaining the high performance 444 kJ/m3 (55.8 MGOe) magnet. Based on these advanced technologies, we have started mass-production of the high performance 400 kT/m3 Nd-Fe-B magnets
