Abstract :
Numerical results are presented about the operation of polarisation insensitive 2-layer AR coatings deposited on normal facets. Operation with less than 1 dB gain ripple and with 25 dB internal gain would require the fabrication process to be better than 0.5% accurate on refractive indices and thicknesses for the deposited layers
