Abstract :
In order to solve the problems brought by the fixed parameters of the TCP Vegas, such as unfairness, an algorithm of TCP Adaptive Vegas based on the adaptive parameters is presented in this paper. The simulation results demonstrate that the new algorithm can adjust the parameters adaptively according to the conditions of network. Compared with algorithms of Reno, Vegas, and Vegas-A, Adaptive Vegas enhances bandwidth competitive ability. Experiments verify the feasibility of embedding Adaptive Vegas algorithm, with results changing in accordance with the simulation results: the Adaptive Vegas shows a better compatibility with Reno than that of Vegas, while it retains the advantages of Vegas on performance of packet loss rate, delay, and delay jitter.
