Abstract :
The error probability of M-ary noncoherent frequency shift keying (NCFSK) with BCH codes for optimum threshold detection in non-Gaussian noise environments is given. It is graphically demonstrated that an improvement of 4.5-7 dB is obtained when coding is used, depending on the signal/noise ratio (SNR) and on the error-correction capability of the code
