Abstract :
The cross linked polyethylene (XLPE) cable is used in power transmission, insulating property detection is the most important high voltage test. The developed insulating property tester in this paper is the automatic equipment to detect and measure XLPE insulating property. The tester system composition, structure, major circuits and flow-charts of hardware and software are included in this paper. The anti-interference measures are taken in this design. The existed problems are also listed for future work.
