Abstract :
The same strained multiquantum well structure is used for both active and Bragg sections of a distributed Bragg reflector laser. 19 mW output power is achieved with a threshold current of 25 mA. A sidemode suppression ratio of 46 dS and a tuning range of 6.2 mm are reported at 1.55 μm
