Abstract :
The authors of this article present a classification model for the most frequent failures encountered in Cloud Computing systems in accordance with the Service-Level Agreement (SLA). The dependability concepts associated with these systems are introduced and the means for reaching the desired dependability are put to discussion. The article goes on to give a brief description of Cloud Computing through contemplating the existing Cloud types along with service models, which are recognized by NIST (National Institute of Standards and Technology). The intention behind such is to aid the client at the moment of subscribing to a service provider contract. In this manner the classification model can be used by the client and will permit the establishment, between the respective parties, of guarantees referent to possible failures, which are known to occur during service delivery.
