Abstract :
The paper proposes a model that can optimize the efficiency of the traffic lights, which enables the light to change its re d or green time dynamically according to the volume of the traffic flow. By giving the traffic flow a weight according the total number of cars in each direction, and based on the weight, the model calculates and change the time duration of the traffic light continuously. The algorithm of the model is relatively simple and thus more efficient and less time-consuming.
