Abstract :
The paper discusses on the issues regarding the charging of electric vehicles. The paper focusses on the challenges it presents to electric utility companies in terms of infrastructure development due to the substantial increase of load that the power grids have to handle. Additional concerns presented are with regards to the installation of recharging post and metering, and traffic regulation and road markings.
