Root locus plotting simplifying of a second-order system for complex gain
Abstract :
This paper illustrates how the root locus of a second-order system can be plotted by a compass and a pencil when the gain is complex. Expressions derived for plotting the root locus also give an insight into the amplitude and frequency of the limit cycles.
