Abstract :
In this paper, a method of analysis of a solid-rotor induction; machine, in which both finite stator permeability and finite current sheet thickness have been considered, is presented. To account for the curvature effects, the analysis is made, in polar co-ordinates, Although the analysis involves slightly more complicated mathematical manipulations, the authors feel that the elimination of the assumptions of infinitesimal thickness of current sheet and infinite stator permeability yields better results.
