Abstract :
Mode spectrum of the oversize circular cylindrical dielectric rod waveguides excited in HE11 mode is established. Surface wave characteristics such as phase constants and guide wavelengths are also studied. Investigations on modal power distributions, division of surface wave power flow between inside and outside waveguides, relative attenuation constants exhibit certain interesting results.
