Abstract :
Two types of improved hexagon loop unit cells for miniaturised frequency selective surfaces (FSSs) are presented and their transmission responses are contrasted. The measured results indicate that by interdigitating the common boundary of adjacent unit cells of FSSs, the operating bandwidth can be broadened compared with convoluted ones and the effect of size reduction is also enhanced.
