Abstract :
A high-resolution 400 TV line(H)×400 TV line(V) frame color picture of moving objects was obtained without a mechanical shutter by adopting a newly developed FIT-CCD (charge coupled device) image sensor. This 2/3" 400 K FIT-CCD image sensor has one transfer cell in the vertical CCD for each pixel, so it can read out a full-frame picture in one scanning period. Complete still-frame pictures of moving objects can be realized at shutter speeds of 1/30 s to 1/1000 s when this device with a frame memory is used. Vertical spurious color signals have been suppressed using this color system, leading to a great improvement in color picture quality
