Abstract :
A new method of frequency transfer service using a color subcarrier from a geostationary broadcasting satellite is proposed, in which the velocity vector of the satellite is determined by measuring the Doppler shifts of color subcarriers from the satellite at four stations whose frequencies are synchronized. Using the determined velocity vector, a user can correct the Doppler shift at his location with simple calculations. An error analysis and an experiment have demonstrated that the frequency transfer error of this method is less than 1×10-11 for the averaging time of 1000 s
