Abstract
Various sources for the RF-DC differences of micropotentiometers (micropots) are analyzed and calculated. The results are shown to agree well with experimental values. A new design is introduced that reduces the RF-DC differences of the micropots significantly. Observations show good stability over a long period. This makes the micropot suitable as a primary RF and audio standard in the microvolt and millivolt ranges
