Abstract
Array processing algorithms for adaptive beamforming and the adaptive detection of radar targets in unknown interference are proposed and simulated. These algorithms rely on estimates of the interference covariance which are constrained to be Toeplitz. It is shown that the incorporation of this constraint into the covariance estimation has a significant impact on the adaptive beamformer and adaptive detector performance
