    A speech transmission system, called ¿The Master Hearing Aid¿, with a wide range of transmission characteristics and suitable for speech tests with deaf patients, is described. The reasons for this ¿Master Hearing Aid¿ are outlined, followed by a description of the facilities and transmission characteristics provided. The type of information which may be obtained practical hearing aids is also given. from the speech tests and its use in the design of practical hearing aids is also given.
