Abstract :
A frequency-resolved cross-correlator is constructed for complete retrieval of a signal pulse at 1.5 μm. First a formula is derived for completely retrieving the signal pulse from the measured spectrogram without iterative calculations when the reference pulse is well characterised. Very rapid pulse retrieval is actually demonstrated by using the derived formula
