Mikronika´s new solutions for power substations with the process bus technology

This document presents a description of modern solutions dedicated to power substations which apply technologies compliant with the IEC 61850-9-2 standard. It provides information about, among others, a new group of devices which are currently developed by Mikronika which functionality will be extended with transmitting samples of analog and binary signals using efficient communication connections creating a so-called process bus. Moreover, it discusses the issue of precise time synchronization compliant with the IEC 61588 standard, ensuring correct operation of an entire system. An indispensable element of a modern substation automation system is redundancy on the communication level. This document presents solutions which, in contemporary reality, enable to meet requirements connected with lossless data transmission.
