This paper presents different workshops regarding applications of multimedia. The first workshop discussed about multimedia networks having an IP-based television which will cover recent advances in IP video that will impact future media networks. The second workshop discussed about World of Wireless, Mobile and Multimedia Networks that provides a platform for presenting novel idea in a less formal and possibly more focused way. The third workshop discussed about multimodal audio-based multimedia content analysis that explore ways in which audio signal processing can be enhanced, bootstrapped, or facilitated by other available information modalities. The last workshop discussed about multimedia-inspired computing that address any novel aspect of computing (for example, programming language or environment, data analysis, and scientific visualization) that significantly benefits from the incorporation and integration of multimedia.
