Abstract :
This article presents an Excel add-on program for power system load flow, fault and harmonic analysis that has been used to solve real engineering problems as well as to teach university students. The objective is to share the authors´ experiences on using spreadsheet-based power system analysis programs. The article discusses the user-interface design of the program, integration of network analysis engines with the spreadsheet, experiences on utilizing various spreadsheet features to facilitate case studies and the pros and cons of spreadsheet-based power system analysis software
