Abstract :
Proposes a novel optical device for (de)multiplexing. The device is based on a Bragg grating assisted multimode interference Michelson interferometer (MMIMI) coupler. The analysis is based on the mode propagation theory. Silica-on-silicon planar lightwave circuits is presently the most promising technology for realizing this kind of device.
