Abstract :
This paper describes a numerical method for eddy-current computation in a nonsimply connected thin conducting shell. The model uses a finite-element method coupled with a boundary integral method. We introduce a virtual current equal to the overall current in the shell and we consider the electric field as a variable. For a collar meshing, numerical and analytical solutions are compared with different values of the skin depth. Eddy-current distributions are shown for the case of a thin cylindrical shell
