Abstract
The stability analysis for digital control systems is extended to consider controller misbehavior. This approach shows that it is possible for a system to survive repeated controller perturbations because of plant dynamics. This idea is placed on a quantitative basis by deriving results about asymptotic stability in terms of matrix norms. These results are intended to be both general in application and convenient for experiments.
