Abstract :
The paper describes a new method of operation of cold-cathode triode switching tubes, which has some distinct advantages compared with the standard ¿pulse+bias¿ technique. A number of differences occur in the way in which tubes can be interconnected and as a result the logical design of switching equipment employing these circuits has some unusual features. These differences are most apparent in counters, some of which are described in detail.
