Abstract :
Statistical methods are described which help to reduce variation in the successive stages of receiver manufacture, assisting in the control of quality. The use of index numbers to indicate production quality is described, and the need for statistically designed experiments is outlined. It is shown that factory administration can sometimes be improved with statistical help.
