Abstract
A new type of direct frequency synthesizer, which can complete frequency switching in less than a microsecond, is proposed. This yields low-spurious outputs by using a low-power analog integration circuit, whose operating principle is similar to a digital accumulator. Experimental results demonstrate successful frequency synthesizer operation
