The physical meaning of formulae for excess noise in composition resistors

It is shown that generalization of Hettich´s formula for excess current noise in resistors leads to a physical interpretation of the coefficient in Bernamont´s formula and in the ¿technical¿ formula. It is shown further that these coefficients can be represented by the simple product of certain electrical and geometrical factors. The validity of the theory developed is confirmed by experiment and an application of the results to the reduction of current-noise is noted.
