X-Ray Spectrometer for Scout Satellite

The paper describes one of the experiments planned for the U.K.1 Scout satellite on the investigation of solar x-ray emission. The device uses a proportional gas counter and a measurement is made of the magnitude of individual pulses which are proportional to the energy of radiation and the average pulse rate which is a function of the intensity of radiation.
