Abstract :
This paper provides a historical overview of the development of reliability engineering education in the USA: where have we been, where are we today, and where we are heading. It presents the beginning and the current status of: undergraduate and graduate courses; graduate degree programs; short courses; institutes; training courses; symposia and their proceedings, texts, newsletters and other publications; societies involved; and internet sources.
