Abstract :
The paper proposes a modular implementation of a multistage cube interconnecting network suitable for v.l.s.i. environment. A realistic size of the module has been worked out and certain topologies for the intrachip and interchip connections have been compared. A dual tree interconnecting network is discussed in detail giving its performance evaluation. The proposed network has many attractive features and appears to be a better alternative to the interconnecting networks presently used in the distributed systems.
