Abstract :
This paper is a follow-up to the twelve papers on digital transmission performance of ISDNs which appeared in the February and April 1984 issues of The Radio and Electronic Engineer. The need for this paper arises as the result of further substantive technical progress made at the final CCITT SGXVIII meeting in June 1984 and takes into account discussions at CCIR SG4 and SG9 Interim Meetings in April/May 1984.
