            Abstract : 
We propose and experimentally demonstrate a monocycle ultra-wideband (UWB) generator adaptable to an optical network where dynamic capacity assignment is implemented. It is based on two-tap microwave photonic filter by using phase inversion in a Mach-Zehnder modulator which provides negative coefficients in the equivalent microwave photonic filter. The insertion of a variable delay line in the system permits to compensate the effects of the chromatic dispersion over the generated UWB pulse.
