80 Gbit/s optical time division multiplexing signal amplification in a semiconductor optical amplifier is demonstrated for the first time. In addition, it is shown that a large input power dynamic range (IPDR) for the 80 Gbit/s signal can be obtained by shifting a tunable optical filter in wavelength
