Abstract :
The purpose of this paper is to describe a comprehensive telecommunications, telemetry, telecontrol, and instrumentation system which was installed on a crude oil pipeline built for Oil India Limited in India. The philosophies which led to the final design are discussed. Descriptions of the equipment used are given together with tables of functions controls and alarms.
