Abstract :
Electromagnetic surface wave propagation along a chiral slab is analysed. The Brillouin diagrams are given for various values of the slab parameters and the results of the analysis are investigated. It is found that for low chirality, the behaviour of the chiral slab is similar to that of a dielectric slab, for medium chirality, the waves are trapped inside the slab in two different modes, while for high chirality, they are trapped in a single mode only.
