Electronically controlled dry-disk rectifier

Y.): Of the few means available by which automatically to control the d-c output of a non-grid-controlled rectifier the saturable reactor seems to be about the most satisfactory, even though, as in the case of grid-controlled rectifiers, the control of the direct voltage output is achieved at the expense of lagging power factor on the a-c side.
