Abstract
This letter gives an interpretation of interference resonance in a microstrip patch antenna fed with coaxial probe and illuminated by electromagnetic pulses. An equivalent circuit is established over a wide frequency range. This circuit takes into account the interference resonance shown in this study. Very good agreement is obtained between the analytical model, the numerical computation and the experimental measurements.
